Bridging the Winter Gap: Our Annual Blanket and Clothing Drive Launch
Our annual Winter Blanket Drive is officially underway. The reality of winter is felt most deeply by those in under-resourced areas. With nights growing longer and cold ocean breezes sweeping through Port Alfred, staying warm isn’t just a matter of comfort—it’s a matter of health and dignity.
To meet this critical need, the Port Alfred Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has officially launched our annual Winter Blanket and Clothing Drive. Our goal is to ensure that no child, elderly resident, or vulnerable individual in our community is left exposed to the harsh seasonal elements.
How Our Community Can Help We are actively appealing to the generosity of local residents, businesses, and organizations to help us bridge the winter gap. We are currently collecting:

High-quality, warm blankets (new or gently used)

Warm winter jerseys, jackets, and coats (especially for young children)

Beanies, scarves, and thick socks
Every single contribution goes directly into the hands of a family facing severe hardship this season. True Vincentian service means looking out for our neighbors, and with your support, we can wrap our community in warmth and hope.
