Port Alfred Charity Brings Hope and Nutrition to Families This Winter
As a dedicated Port Alfred charity, the Society of St Vincent de Paul is on a mission to act as “architects of hope” for those facing severe hardship in our community. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community during the recent Lenten Appeal, our team has processed a large stockpile of donated foodstuffs.
On Wednesday, 13 May, our dedicated Vincentian volunteers sorted and packed these supplies into substantial food parcels for immediate distribution. These vital parcels are being personally delivered via home visits to our local voucher recipients—particularly those who are housebound and in greatest need. Through these personal visits, our Port Alfred charity ensures that no one in the Port Alfred and Bathurst area is left forgotten or hungry as the colder months approach.
